AIA Continued Education Courses from MFP

If you are an architect in New York and would like to learn more about our products, please make arrangements to attend our AIA/CES course tomorrow 2-12-13 at 1:00 pm.

Course title:  Reclaiming the New York Skyline
Course desc: The New York City skyline is legendary for its skyscrapers, architecture and the water towers on nearly every building over six stories tall. The water towers started to appear in New York City in the 1800’s as a way to bring water to upper floors in taller buildings. The redwood tanks were built and installed by barrel makers during that time. Each tank was held together with only steel straps with no adhesive to keep the contents pure. Each tank has a life span of approximately 40 years. These timeless structures are a signature of New York just like Central Park. Now we reclaim that redwood and upcycle it into many other products.

Manhattan Forest Products Country Home Installation

One of the things we like to do most is work with wood, honestly every aspect of it is a true joy. So, when a client says I want to use your reclaimed wood products throughout my home, we just smile at the opportunity to work with our hands and thank them profusely.

This is a beautiful home in upstate New York that we used reclaimed Coney Island Boardwalk for the entire wrap around porch and decking. The interior of the home features everything from reclaimed wood ceiling beams, fireplace mantle, wood flooring and even a reclaimed live edge countertop on the kitchen island. This is just some of what we are capable of doing.

MFP Recovering From Hurricane Sandy

The devastation of hurricane Sandy will be felt for many weeks to come. The employees of Manhattan Forest Products were fortunate enough to have made it through without too many difficulties compared to others.

Our NY showroom was undamaged in the hurricane, but remained without power for over a week, which means all of our servers were down including email and phones. Thank you for your patience and support while everyone tries to get back to work following this tragedy. MFP, is now open for business. Now that we have power, our showroom has resumed normal business hours starting Monday November 5, 2012.

If you want to help New York get back on it's feet, here are some helpful links.

Thank you for your patience.
